If you think Jerry Jones is concerned about his franchise quarterback jetting off with Jessica Simpson, think again. "I have no concern about Tony's social life and about his relationships," Jerry said yesterday. "I've had a lot of players in 19 years that I've had concerns in those areas about, so I'm not a novice. I don't have any. There's not one concern about his relationship and about how he relaxes and what he does with his time." Jerry, who famously warned Romo that some ladies can "smell fresh cash" after he signed his $67 million deal, was asked why he didn't get invited to the Simpson Family Bye Week Fiesta. Jerry replied with a gem of a one-liner. "I was the one taking the pictures," he cracked. That was a joke -- Papa Joe was probably behind the camera -- but Jerry sure doesn't mind the marketing effect of Romo's crossover celebrity. Those cute pink Romo jerseys, modeled by Ms. Simpson in a Texas Stadium suite, sold out within 24 hours of her appearance at the Eagles game. Teenyboppers and other folks who aren't necessarily football fans follow Romo now, and that does nothing but make more money for Jerry. "It's in the Dallas Cowboys' best interests for key players to have a flair," Jerry said. "There is an entertainment aspect to sports. You take it too far, and it's not good, but it's an important aspect to it. "Frankly, I think it's great. I think it's great for our fans to have a quarterback as interesting as he is, apart from what happens on the field. And I want to emphasize that’s 99 percent of it, but the other part is a plus." |

Tim, I bet you're the FIRST person in line when the (self) a$$kicking machine goes on sale. You just don't have enough common sense to know that fans are FKNG SICK of even seeing her name on this blog and anywhere else for that matter. Give it a rest or better yet, get another job.

AND
Jerry is going to award a pink #9 jersey to the g-Aints defensive goat-of-the-game.
Could get expensive, might be the entire team.

Here's the difference between the Cowboys and Patriots and why New England is more focused than Dallas on winning the Super Bowl:
Josh McDaniels is the offensive coordinator for the Patriots. It's safe to say that he had a better year than Jason Garrett.
However, McDaniels is refusing all requests to interview for head coaching jobs, while Garrett is happy to explore any chance to leave Dallas.
It's all about a laser beam aimed at a goal and the Patriots have the advantage over the Cowboys in that department.

Why are the no life having fans and journalist worried about this man having a girl, what do they want him to date someone on the team so they can study late nights? Man, this dude is human and have EVERY right to date whoever he desires! If your life is based on Romo love life then maybe you need to get yourself one. Dang get off this stupid topic.

Tim, but of course Jerry endorses Romo's love life, and for exactly the reason you said: Marketing. The problem with JJ is, he's schizophrenic. You have Jerry Jones, the owner, President, and General Manager of the football team, and you have the Marketer, "Dr. Jones and his famous Snake Oil Elixir". When Jerry sticks to one side or the other, he does allright. It's when he blurs the line between football and marketing that he makes his biggest mistakes.

cowboy128, McDaniels is part of the family, if you know what I mean. He's not going to pull a Mangini. When Belichick heard of his non sense notion about coaching another team, he promptly set him straight.
He keeps trying to get to get out, but they keep pullin him back in.

There are two ways to leave the Patriots. You either die, or you get jumped out.
