Brad Johnson's one-year deal with the Cowboys expires in March, and he'll hit the free agent market again, but he doesn't plan on retiring. Walking from the stadium tonight, he passed along word that his plan is to return for a 17th season, and he'd like to do it in Dallas. That's obviously up to the team, but the reason he wants to come back again was clear. "I'm just having too much fun to give it up," he said. |

I don't mind having him back. He's one of the few players that I don't blame for this loss.

He's won a playoff game. Let him start!

Oh thank god...ever since the demoralizing December and yet another first round exit for the city of Dallas...I couldn't wrap my head around anything but whether Brad Johnson was gonna return or not...NOW I CAN SLEEP TONIGHT!!!!

i must say that i am embarrassed to be a cowboys fan right about now... not for their performance on the field, but for the way that so many cowboys fans are acting on this blog... i just hope that most real fans have just been too stunned about the game to respond to such imbecile comments that have suggested throwing the coach, the owner, the qb, and the rest of the team under the bus... why don't y'all just convert to eagles fans? that's who you sound like right about now...
the team was solid, but didn't play it's best football today and didn't come away with a win... it was within their reach, but they didn't execute...
i do believe that the colts lost today, too... stuff like this happens...

Thanks Brad, but I think the Cowboys need to upgrade their backup QB - actually, almost all of their backups.
Let me take this opportunity to say how poorly the Cowboys did throughout the season when a backup played. Other than Terry Glenn and Roy Williams for the Carolina game, we had very little quality depth. When Brad went into the game, we knew the offense would be severely limited. We need better backups at CB, QB, RB. I think we need a new starting Safety in place of Roy Williams.

Hey, he didn't drop any holds...

Jim, I totally agree with you... we should have won but they don't give away playoff wins... and i don't believe that last year's loss (or the last 5 playoff loses) has anything to do with the performance tonight...
i just hope real cowboys fans stick together to get through this loss and regroup for next season...

I'm sure the Cowboys are already hard at work getting ready to find the next Bobby Carpenter and Marcus Spears with their two first round picks.

Breer, you must be giddy with joy right now. I hope LT rushes for 300 yards then drop kicks Rodney Harrison in his drug induced undersized nuts.

An NFL record twelve pro bowlers and a massive choke, and BJ wants to come back here? What, does he think he should have been voted to Hawaii as well?

I'm sure he does, but who doesn't think the team would be better served by developing youth in that position. Who wouldn't have rather had Matt Moore has some potential upside than a fading veteran with limited arm strength....
I don't think the team will make the same mistake again....

If Philips were not a relaxed coach, Tony Romo would have not been allowed to go for vacation in Mexico during the two weeks prior to today's game.

NO WAY BJ............... WAY PAST HIS PRIME; WADE WILSON WOULD DO JUST AS WELL IN A PINCH!!!
WE NEED YOUTH, ENTHUSIASM (AND AN ARM WOULD BE NICE) AT THE BACK-UP QB POSITION

Albert Breer, you have GOT to do a better job with your headlines. I about fell out of my bed, thinking you meant JIMMY Johnson wanted to come back!!!

kameleon, hey, Buddy!! We Had a good, young QB, but we CUT him!! Matt Moore!!! Notice how his name just kind of rolls off the tongue: Matt Moore!!! Just like Brett Favre!!! Not like "Tony El Foldo"!!!
