Pro personnel department loses Gaine

Todd Archer   E-mail   News tips

The Cowboys lost their second member of their personnel department when assistant director of pro scouting Brian Gaine resigned on Tuesday, according to two sources.

Owner and general manager Jerry Jones had allowed Gaine to join new general manager Jeff Ireland and executive vice president of football operations Bill Parcells in Miami, but the NFL blocked the move.

The league ruled Gaine cannot join the Dolphins for seven days, but he is free to talk to other teams in the interim. Gaine joined the Cowboys in 2005 and worked with Parcells with the New York Jets.

"The league ruled Gaine cannot join the Dolphins for seven days"

I wonder if this jeopardizes his employment with Miami? ROTFLMAO!

What Parcells wants, Parcless takes. So much Jerrah's $20 MM investment in the Parcells rebuild of the Valley Ranch organization.

So sad.

WHAT'S SAD IS THAT THE RAMS BARELY GET ANY MENTION ON THIS BLOG. COULD IT BE JEALOUSLY? THATS WHAT I THOUGHT. STILL PAINING OVER NOT TAKING STEVEN JACKSON. THE COW-TERDS AND COW-FANS HAVE SOMETHING IN COMMEN. YOU BOTH MAKE ME SICK!

SCOREBOARD RAMS! HAIL THE RAMS
HAIL ME!

Jones needs a press conference to let us know that the ship isn't sinking and he actually has a plan. By plan I mean something other than Jones being every paid position in the franchise.

Who were the Rams? Were they from St. Lousey or LA. The team no one wants. How sad.

Well, according to Todd Archer:

"Tony Romo worked into the night Tuesday at the team's Valley Ranch facility.

According to multiple sources, Romo spent extra time watching film on the Giants on Monday, and on Tuesday, the players' scheduled day off, he had his normal meeting with offensive coordinator Jason Garrett."

Lets hope he can arrive at 3:30 Sunday with nothing on his mind except football. I have to believe Tony realizes at this point that he made a serious error in judgement with cowboy faithful by continuing to fan the flames of the Jessica Simpson debates by going to Mexico with her last weekend.

God help him if he performs badly Sunday. This fandom will crucify him. Being as fickle as we are, however, if he performs like the Tony we have known, he will be our hero again.

This was the right move by Jerry to get him out now. If he is going to Miami anyway there is no sense in letting him work in Jerry's office gathering info for the New Jersey con-man. Cowboys 31 little Giants 10

i know this is off topic but shawn merriman is an a$$hole. This fan or should i say San Diego native wrestler by the name of Rey Misterio, which many of you may know, was waiting outside in the rain after the Chargers playoff victory to get an autograph from him and Merriman dissed him like that. Good thing a few Charger fans recognized Misterio and asked him for autographs. If i was there and Merriman dissed me like that i would be forced to use racial and steriod name calling. Let's see now if that get his attention. It's funny two faced people can get. I hear Romo actually takes time to sign autograph for all fans. Merriman is scum....

How does Tim know that Romo worked into the night? I think he's a romosexual, but in denial.

Posted by JL @ 11:36 PM Tue, Jan 08, 2008

Yeah, it's so sad to see this 'barely above .500 castle' that Parcells built come crumbling down.

So what if Parcells takes all of his cronies with him? It's not like Dallas is coming off of 3 Superbowl appearances. Let him take all of his sheep with 1988 tunnel vision. Miami will be no better than Dallas while he's there..which won't be long.

Dallas 27
Giants 20

I think the Giants cover (currently by a 1/2 point)
I think Jason Witten will be the "hero" with at least 10 receptions and maybe 125 yards, with 2 touchdown catches.

Romo will have a superb game, and Terry Glenn will surprise many people with 5 receptions, one being a touchdown. T.O will be there strictly as a decoy, and for the excercise.

666 and company:

I'm tired of Cancun-gate... By now it's already known that Tom Brady went to New York with his girlfriend, which means that he wasn't tied to a chair in the Pats filmroom.

In the NFL there's something that's called a BYE week and players can't go to the team's installations, so if they want to see the games they would see them in their homes or wherever they may like to do so.

It just happens that Romo choosed Cancun and Brady New York.

THANK GOODNESS THAT THE SORRY TUNA IS GONE, GONE, GONE! SADDER STILL THAT THE RAMS DIDN'T GET HIM.

RAMS FAN
Glad to see you are worried about playing the Dolphins next year, but you should be more concerned about the Falcons. That is unless they hire the RAMS coaching staff.

Yo, Yo Rams Fan! It's me again. Sweatin' over that hex? I would be. Who knows? It could be fake or I could be some weirdo that actually believes in hexes and you're screwed! I'd side on the latter. Happy Wednesday. Hex, hex, hex.

WE? Speak for yourself. Our hero again? Stop living vicariously through others and get a freakin life please!!!

That's most of some of you people's problems. Grow up! It just sports.

"How does Tim know that Romo worked into the night?"

Same way you know that Staubach and Aikman never took vacations, scrub.

Rodney in Atlanta, and Vox Veritas,

You guys are just like so many on this blog,
the sole purpose of your posting to insult other posters, not to make an educated counter argument of the postings.

You dont seem to recognize that this blog is(or at least should be) an open forum where fans can give their opinions without being subject to being called fools or idiots. Last time I checked you guys don't own this space.

Unfortunately, because of immature, know-it-alls like you, who have zero ability to show respect for other bloggers postings, it has just turned to a name calling bunch of crap and I am no longer going to participate in your garbage heap.

Would be interesting to meet you in a dark alley sometime and see how many names you would call me out from behind the security and anonymity of your keyboards.

Vox, I'm not letting you scrub anything on me. You need to get a room with Rams Fan.

Posted by Vauxhall95 @ 1:08 PM Wed, Jan 09, 2008

I agree with the poster regarding Jerry's investment in Parcells to turn the franchise around. He did. There is no quick fix in the NFL, and Parcells put out to pasture our geriatric scouting department and moved the 'Boys into the 21st century.

To see this all being dismantled is sickening. My respect for Parcells has taken a major blow through this. It's not like Jerry ran you off Bill! He paid you well, and you return the favor by looting this bird six ways to Sunday. Not cool.
