As the Cowboys wait to hear if Jason Garrett will become Baltimore’s next head coach, their other top offensive assistant, Tony Sparano, is flying to visit with Miami again today, according to a source. The Cowboys coaches, including Sparano, finished meetings a little after noon on Tuesday. Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland picked up Ireland in one of owner Wayne Huizenga’s private planes. Sparano has widely been considered the frontrunner to become the Dolphins’ next head coach once Bill Parcells became the vice president of football operations and added Ireland as GM. Sparano met with Ireland in Irving on Jan. 5 for an interview. The Dolphins have already added former Cowboys assistant David Lee as quarterbacks coach. |
