Strahan brings it!!!

10:55 PM Sun, Jan 13, 2008 |
Albert Breer   E-mail   News tips

If you talk trash, and you don't back it up, trouble tends to follow.

So after Terrell Owens came up with four catches for 49 yards, he had some bullets to absorb.

"We hope T.O. has his popcorn ready," Owens said. "Maybe him and Crayton can sit his home theater and watch us next week."

Good idea! Maybe it will help develop chemistry for '08. Or maybe, they'll start thinking about how to take these comments and shove them back in Brandon Jacobs' face.

"The Cowboys are a great football team," said the gregarious tailback. "They might have had a chance to win if Patrick Crayton didn't drop the two key passes. There was a lot of talk. But it's over with. We won the game. They're chillin' and we're going to Green Bay next week."

To the victor go the spoils.

Cowpokes, TO, Choko Romo-Nomo, and all the classless fans who posted on the Giants blogs this week all had it coming. Bottom line? Dallas stunk up the place and all the talkers choked. As long as you have TO, bad things will happen. I bet it goes down hill from here. And that Hillary Act-II, oh please T.O., Watch, he will start to be the cancer in the cowboys as he has on all other teams he's been on. Prediction: Dallas doesn't make the play-offs next year because TO pulls his usually stunts. Have a nice off-season.

For those of you who posted on the Giant's blog all week, come back, we want you back.

Does that excite you to the point that it warrants triple exclamation points, young Mr. Breer? I'm truly happy you can find so much exuberance at a time when the people who are fans of the team that shares the name of the paper you are employed by wallow in misery.

You may want to check who you're quoting as well. Your journalistic abilities may have been hampered by your joy.

Posted by Holy Cow! @ 11:35 PM Sun, Jan 13, 2008

Sob Cry Sob Cry That crap just makes me sick! Suck it up for Christsakes.....your a football player! A Dallas Cowboy football player!

Posted by Spud @ 11:44 PM Sun, Jan 13, 2008

I'm a Niner fan from SF and I'm glad you're stuck with T.O. You know- the guy who didn't make a catch the entire second half? Sure, he'll dazzle you with some impressive numbers, but the guy's a wuss. Yeah, the 49ers had another stinkeroo season, but at least we didn't go 12 years between playoff wins. How 'bout them Wowboys?

Posted by TMC @ 11:50 PM Sun, Jan 13, 2008

The Giants bought the referees. You can't block that overrated loudmouth Strahan and you can't throw the ball away when you are not under pressure. Two penalties on the dirtiest team in football next to the Patricheats. Maybe Goodell can investigate that.

Posted by Hillary Owens @ 12:01 AM Mon, Jan 14, 2008

LOL, Can you sing TMC? turn out the light, the part's over...

Overrated? I think not. Dallas had to double him which is why your team lost to a team with only one pro-bowler. AGAIN! ha, what a maroon.

Posted by Hillary Owens @ 12:04 AM Mon, Jan 14, 2008

By the way, is that twelve seasons now without a play-off win? It's been a long time since you had that crack head Irvin out there.

Posted by Tim Ives @ 12:17 AM Mon, Jan 14, 2008

Jerry Jones is looking an aweful lot like Darth Vader (or even better yet...Al Davis). cant keep either one of them happy unless they are winning. when will teams realize that success isnt always measured in wins and losses but how you display yourself in difficult times.
i am grateful to the NYGiants for pulling this one out and bringing the NFC championship game to Green Bay, WI. i have confidence we will win the game but even IF we dont i assure you and the rest of the NFL world that they will be shown a good time, win or lose. we that live in GB are a class act. follow our lead y'all.

Posted by GMAN @ 2:58 AM Mon, Jan 14, 2008

TO has a big mouth and once again it got the other team motivated. Don't blame Strahan for shoving T.O.'s garbage back in his throat.

Posted by Hawaii Cheesehead @ 4:33 AM Mon, Jan 14, 2008

Hey Y'all,

Please thank Jessica, A.K.A. Yoko Romo for me when you see her.... hope that she and Tony have fun watching the the game next weekend!

Posted by Cryboys Gohome @ 6:15 AM Mon, Jan 14, 2008

hahah Yoko Romo (although she is a bit easier on the eye than the original!)

Posted by Holy Cow! @ 7:38 AM Mon, Jan 14, 2008

"Hillary Owens" LOL That is funny! Crying and Sobbing from a Dallas Cowgirl...sorry...meant Cowboy Football Player! Who would of thought that? Says a lot about the team doesn't it! It really does!

Posted by Sam the Man @ 8:04 AM Mon, Jan 14, 2008

Giants were definitely the better team on Sunday. Would have been a larger margin of victory had Webster held on to the interception.

Posted by shahab @ 8:33 AM Mon, Jan 14, 2008

sam, giants were not the better team. they just didn't make the stupid mistakes the cowboys did. the cowboys had more running yards, more passing yards, and had the ball longer. the cowboys beat themselves more than the giants beating them. i give the giants credit for not make mistakes and playing with more intensity. this cowboys team has too many players that are not mentally tough and that was the reason they lost.

Posted by Mike @ 9:00 AM Mon, Jan 14, 2008

Wow, all you haters sure do talk a lot AFTER the game. It's easy to kick a team when they're down, but in reality, after every season, fans of 31 teams feel like Cowboys fans do now. Get over yourselves and realize that you too will likely be feeling this way next week or the week after. For Giants fans, you'll be feeling this way next week.

Posted by Brian (Boston) @ 9:03 AM Mon, Jan 14, 2008

um, wow, Giants fans are pretty pathetic for showing up on this blog to rub it in. Why don't you guys get a life?

Posted by boyz2004 @ 9:07 AM Mon, Jan 14, 2008

It appears the Giants are happy defeating the Cowboys and not concerned with the Packers next week. You guys are celebrating as if you just won the superbowl. I agree it was a big win for the Giants, but it was not for the big dance. If we are only good enough to play you close and fight for a win to lose in the final seconds, we were not good enough challenge for a superbowl or even beat the packers. Good teams do what the Packers did to Seattle on Saturday.

Posted by Dennis of OB @ 9:11 AM Mon, Jan 14, 2008

How 'bout them Cowboys!!!!
Lets see, Mexico or tee time.....I've got it!!!
A tee time IN Mexico!!
See you in September

Posted by MA Giants Fan @ 9:19 AM Mon, Jan 14, 2008

The Cowgirls beat the GIANTS in every aspect of the game - running, passing, time of possession, PENALTIES, DROPPED BALLS, TRASH TALKING. Blame the last three on that soft, wus of a coach.
Mike, maybe you should take TO's lead and have a good cry.

Posted by juan @ 9:22 AM Mon, Jan 14, 2008

all fans do this all the time so suck it up cowgirl fans just like we take our medicine every year from cowboy fans so should you

Posted by MA GIANTS Fan @ 9:26 AM Mon, Jan 14, 2008

Passing, running, T.O.P., PENALTIES, DOPPED BALLS

Posted by MA GIANTS Fan @ 9:29 AM Mon, Jan 14, 2008

Mabe TO should have cried before the game - it worked for Hillary in NH

Posted by Jessie's Girl @ 10:06 AM Mon, Jan 14, 2008

The cowboys losing is like my hometown team winning the Superbowl. Bye and out. U stink. Love hatin the cowboys. I'm going to re-watch this game and watch T O cry again.

Posted by Hillary Owens @ 10:09 AM Mon, Jan 14, 2008

MA GIANTS Fan, LOL - you are right.

Dallas fans, if you don't like us on your blog, don't come on ours all week talking trash because thats what happened. live with it.

shahab you are a mental midget, teams that make stupid mistakes do so because they were 1) not a better team 2) forced to. The pass rush in the second half rattled Choko Nomo. And the running by Dallas in the second half was nullified. Giants were the better team and it shows by the final score.

Posted by Dilip @ 10:09 AM Mon, Jan 14, 2008

Nice. Stab someone and for good measure twist the knife. This is absolutely classless. I am going to root for Favre with all my heart. I wish he lights up the Lambeau field with 100 points.

Posted by Cheryl @ 10:16 AM Mon, Jan 14, 2008

Dilip:

Dallas and their fans have always been classless braggarts - too bad now that the shoe is on the other foot you can't handle it. BTW - We will be twisting that knife for years to come!! Dallas is the most arrogant team ever and they got exactly what they deserve!
We also love Brett Favre so it will be fun watching two classy teams play great football!

Posted by alohapete @ 10:17 AM Mon, Jan 14, 2008

Take a chill pill GREYBEARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The name of this game is "SCOREBOARD".

Posted by Hillary Owens @ 10:19 AM Mon, Jan 14, 2008

Dilip,

Not likely. Farve will spend a lot of time on his back. You cowboy fans are as fickle as the players. You can talk trash but can't take it. You want classless? go read the comments by cowboy fans all last week on Giants blogs. There was so much of it, it inspired all of us to pay a visit to y'all. twist twist

Posted by Niners4life @ 10:35 AM Mon, Jan 14, 2008

12 years and counting now no playoff wins. Cowgirls at their best. I added the clip of T.O. crying like a baby for his Homo (opps i mean Romo) to my favorites to watch daily. Wade Phillips 0-4 in playoffs what a happy happy day this is.

Posted by Samuel Adams @ 10:43 AM Mon, Jan 14, 2008

Crying!!! CRYING???
Theres No Crying in fottball!!!!
America's "team" does not cry.

Look at Manning and the Colts. Some how learn to show some class T.O. and NoMo

Ahhhh....the Poor Dallas CalfGirls

All the New (actually) Original America's Team
THE NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

Posted by 12 years and counting @ 11:05 AM Mon, Jan 14, 2008

One and out again Cowboy fans!! Bye!! Thanks for coming, good luck at the draft. I havent seen any of you on the NY Daily News Blog this morning, what happened? Don't worry TO, tears fell from my eyes as well yesterday. Tears fell when
Superstar Patrick "Arena League '08" Crayton dropped a critical third down pass. Tears fell when your undiscliplined team was flagged over and over for stupid penalties. Tears really started to fall when Yoko Romo made the critical mistake that is he is quickly becoming famous for. So many tears of joy, so little time to celebrate. Gotta big one coming up Sunday, but you wouldnt know. I hope you enjoy the next few days of Giants fans and Cowboy haters alike coming on here to rip your team and fans.

Posted by Pfluger @ 11:07 AM Mon, Jan 14, 2008

"Tears of a Clown"

and

The Romon foot stomping act.

"America's Team": Never was, never will be.

Enjoy all your all-Stars. The NEW YORK FOOTBALL GIANTS have to get ready for next week!

Posted by Christian @ 11:54 AM Mon, Jan 14, 2008

T.O. crying about "his" QB was just the most amazing thing I've ever seen -- looked like it was straight out of Saturday Night Live.

That guy, as well as much of the Cowboys team, are so out of touch with reality, it's unbelievable. Romo, Witten, Barber, Ware, Ellis...now those are players. People like T.O. and Jerry Jones are unfortunately too much of a distraction to truly form a team.

If that circus is supposed to be America's Team then Good Night!

Posted by g @ 12:08 PM Mon, Jan 14, 2008

its just funny how cowboys fans make so many excuses. its understandable though, since most of them are idiots anyway like that patrick crayton guy. guy talks all week and drops 2 big passes and bobbles a punt. if u gonna talk, back it up. simple as that. strahan talks but he can back it up. So shove it, all u cowboys fans. buncha losers....

Posted by MA GIANTS Fan @ 1:31 PM Mon, Jan 14, 2008

TO crying was priceless. "my team" "my QB" Give him a few weeks to absorb this and he'll come up with some names. I doubt it will be Romo despite the sacks, int grounding and slippery balls at critical times.

Posted by GiantsCanBiteMe @ 3:03 PM Thu, Jan 31, 2008

All you Giants fans:

HOW MANY Super Bowls does this make for you now? How many rings? How many Division Champeenships since 1960?

Looking up at the Cowboys on all those fronts, huh?

Too bad.
