T.O. skipped his Wednesday chat with the media for the second consecutive week, but word is his ankle is healing as quickly as the Cowboys hoped. He put his left shoe on today for the first time since suffering the high ankle sprain in the first half of the Dec. 22 win at Carolina. "I thought he was ready to go today the way he was talking," Sam Hurd said. "He was excited." |

I was at the game on Sunday - it was painful. Needless to say i didnt have the opportunity to rip off my skins jersey to reveal my Romo number 9.... Hearing the roar of the crowd on every play sucked, but not nearly as much as hearing the postgame reports from all the AM radio guys.
"The Cowboys gave up their first 100 yard game to a running back today!"
"The Cowboys lost their first road game today!"
"They didnt look like they wanted any part of the Redskins today, and probably wont want any when they come to Dallas in two weeks"
That. Was. Painful.
T.O. coming back will make all the difference in the world, I want a blowout of massive proportions if the 'skins are lucky enough to make it to Big D, this report helps calm my nerves.

It's funny how many of us were not happy when he came here, and last year was a bit crazy. Of course, with any move he makes, the media wants to make "a mountain out of a molehill." But this season, he seems to have matured quite a bit, and his level of play has been such a welcome thing. His coaches and team mates seem to like him, and you can't deny his work ethic. We sure need him healthy and getting the ball in his hands when the playoffs begin.

Good to hear. I'm excited as well!

I live in Southern New Jersey just outside of Philly in Eagles country. I would never go to an Eagles/Cowboys game wearing my Cowboys stuff, thats just suicide. But I would never go as far as to wear a Eagles Jersey with a Cowboys jersey underneath it.
But T.O. will be fine and so will the Cowboys. Can't wait till our first playoff win in 10 years or whatever it is.

NY Cowboy Fan, you were wearing a skins' jersey over top of your #9?? Come on dude. I know they're a bunch of idiots down there, but I'm surprised your skin didn't burn wearing that crap! I live in eagle country and wouldn't be caught dead in their throw up green colors. You living in NY should know better b/c some of those Giants fans are just as bad.
Boyz R Back, you are so right on!

That probably sounded weird when you read it. The reason i was wearing a Skins jersey was because the guy who's season tix they were said he would rather the seat go empty than give it to a cowboys fan, so in order to convince him to let me go, my friend told his father-in-law that i would wear skins gear, thank God it rained so no one saw me in a Laverneus Coles jersey...shudder.

Oh ok. Thats much better haha. Sorry to question your "fan hood." lol

Ok you're still not off the hook. If it was a Lav. Coles Jets' jersey, maybe, but not redskins.
Nick, where in SJ?

I must admit it was a hard decision to make, go to my first Cowboys game (even if it was in DC) and wear the skins colors or just watch from home.
I have been a Cowboys fan for a loooong time and never had the priveledge of watching them live, so i bit the bullet and wore a Coles jersey. I asked the blog last week if I should wear Romo underneath and rip off my skins jersey at an opportune time...and i got mixed results, i decided to risk bodily harm and do it, but as you all saw, there was no opportunity.
Believe me, Ive showered like 100 times and i still feel dirty.

TG I live in a small town called Stratford, about 5-10 minutes away from Voorhees or Cherry Hill.
Can't wear Cowboys stuff to Eagles games, they will hurt you, I've seen it way 2 many times.

Nick in Philly,
Agreed. I live in DC and am often told, "You're really brave to wear that Cowboys shirt here." I always respond, "No, If I were to wear this in Philly, THAT would be brave." And I probably wouldn't .
In DC the fact that I'm 6'2", 195 and a still in good shape former Marine Infantry Officer seems to temper peoples reaction, in Philly it wouldn't.

Wow, some good news finally for the Cowboys. December is now over. Let's move on!

Nick in Philly and Bill in DC, I have responsibility for a Fortune 50's software business in the Northeast and travel every week...even though I reside in the ATL, I'm often in Philly and usually dress business or business- casual. But occasionally on a business casual trip, I'll sport a nice Cowboy polo and other things that clearly show my loyalty. Some of my clients have given me a hard time...but they tell me that although they are cool (relatively speaking) with it, they would never have my back if we ever were to go to an Eagles' game together. They said the fact that you played, and are 6-1, 235 lbs, and still look like you can play doesn't matter.
I've gone to games on the road all over the place, NY, DC...but will never try Philly. It's not worth it and all it takes is one jerk. And I would never subject my wife & family to such nonsense.
Net/net...I still represent in Philly when I travel though! And all I get are a few frowns from the locals.

putting on a shoe is far from planting, driving, and cutting against a DB.I was listening to Michael Irvin Mon on ESPN radio and definitely got the impression the injury was more serious than being reported after spending time up close and personal.
I for one hope Owens is indeed a quick healer as his past suggests because he IS the octane in our offense's tank

JERRY BETTER GIVE TO AN EXTENSION BEYOND NEXT YEAR. HE IS A TRUE WARRIOR. as for the skins fan who said he's also a Cowboys fan, that's a disgrace to wear a redskin jersey. We don't need fans on our bandwagon.

Great news if indeed T.O. seems to be looking better! Thank God for that, as he would say.
I have a feeling the Boy's have been spoon feeding the rest of the league, as well as some people who have expressed their opinions on this Blog, judging by their reactions to a game that meant nothing but records.
After the Green Bay game, they have avoided showing any more than needed in regards to their "options and game planning’s". Not showing anything new.
But, if we can have T.O. and Glenn and all that THIS means, applied to that field on the 13th, then I would feel safe to say that that would be the first of three explosive performances by the Cowboys to go on to win the Super Bowl. That's how confident I feel about it. If only because of the possibilities it gives our offense now with a full deck to play with.
The same on D. We may be in for a treat to see more of the Spencer in there at the same time with Ellis and DWare. And with the way Ratliff's playing. And with Tank's improved play, watch out!
And to all the redskins fans that came to this here "Dallas Cowboys Blog" to talk garbage, well I say to you now: Bring the redskins back in two weeks!; I want to see the look on the players faces when they get looks they've never seen all year. Whoever. I can't wait to begin! And just watch Roy Williams. Just watch.

You lost me at watch Roy Williams!!!
