We really haven't had any trash talk between the teams this week, but I sense a wee bit of sarcasm from Plaxico Burress on the topic of T.O. Burress, of course, has been playing on a bad ankle all season. There's no way that lets Burress come across as looking like the toughest receiver in the NFC. You might recall that there's some bad blood between the prima donna receivers. T.O. has refused to talk about Burress all season, but I guarantee he remembers being called a coward by Plax last year. |

More "mental midget" journalism from Tabloid Timmy.

PLAX has more toughness in his left cajone than T.BLOW. has in his whole body.
Prediction: T.BLOWENS is out of the game on a re-injured ankle by the second quarter. Geriatric T.GLENN blows his band-aid repair job in the third. A healthy dose of the Jacobs/Bradshaw juggernaut makes hamburger out of the CowGIRLS D-Line.
GIANTS win 31 - 27.
(P.S. Why even bother, CowGirls? You won't be any good until you've been playing in JerryWorld for a season or two. You know, that place where a game ticket will cost $2,000 and a beer is $12.50. Mmmmm, I loves me some Texas . . . NOT!)

Wow, Owens and Glenn out of the game, but you still predict the Cowboys putting up 27 on the Giants?? That's some serious confidence in your team right there. Hey, don't feel bad, they've had a good season. You have a lot to be proud of. I've even seen Eli close his mouth once or twice.

Not only will T.O. play but he will be a Giant Killer.
Posted by NFC Champs @ 11:31 AM Thu, Jan 10, 2008
Wasn't Owens the one who played a month or so after breaking his leg? Isn't Plax the one who hasn't practiced all season because of an ankle? We're all biased, but come on dude.
Up until last week you had never heard of the Bradshaw. And to call them "juggernauts" is laughable.
Uhhh... I beleive New York is one of the most expensive states to live in.
What an idiot. Not ONE good point made.

Plaxico is a prima donna?
That's a new one to me.

Has Bluerules ever been to Giants stadium (that's in NJ not New York). It was one of the most expensive places to watch a game and that was 10 years ago. Let's not tal about the ambience - not!

The Cowboy fans have a right to push out their chests based on the regular season. But they are kidding themselves if they don't admit that the Giants right now are playing their best football not of the season, but in years! The first game of the year was a joke on the defensive side for both teams. The Giants were playing their first game under a new system with a new def coach, and Strahan had zero summer camp. What was the Cowboys def excuse for ELI LIGHTING THEM UP. YES HE LIT THAT WEAK SECONDARY UP. LOOK AT PLAX'S NUMBERS.
In sports, momentum is everything. The Giants went to Bufallo, and down 14 pts they came back and won the game. They moved the ball at will on the Pats, and a non biased observer could say they were screwed more than once by bad calls that resulted in points for the Pats.
They just went on the road and won a playoff game against a really good defense. How many playoff wins does Romo have? Oh yeah, 0.
Romo has been sitting around doing nothing but making stupid headlines with their pop star girlfriend. He is just going to go out and move the ball on the Giants and have no rust at all They have zero momentum coming into this game.

NYNY-
Newman and Ellis weren't playing in the 1st game of the season. Ellis has double digit sacks on the season, and Newman made Dr. Z's (a surpisingly decent SI.com analyst) all pro team because of his very underrated coverage. If you want to play an excuses game, there are two.
Congrats on beating a 9-7 Tampa team. Your QB had zero playoff wins before that one, and he had more than Romo's 1 game to prove it.
If you want to talk about proving something - ask your mediocre QB to string together more than 2 good games in a row. Then come back and talk to us. Also tell me how Washington (a hotter team than NY!) did against a cold Seattle team. Sometimes, surprisingly, having the better team does make a difference.

Hey NY NY:
Aside from Newman and Ellis not playing in Game 1 (as Tod mentioned), that game was also our first under a new defensive system too. Eli played his best game of the season that week and the Giants still LOST. Our other starting CB - the team leader in picks - didn't play in Game 2, and guess what, the Giants LOST again.
And I sure hope your "monstrous" pass rush mans up this week, because thus far they've been owned by the Cowboys O-line. In fact, Osi might as well change his name to Nancy since Flozell has basically made him his personal bi!ch

Why should the Cowboys even show up Sunday? Giants have already won according to ALL the experts. They're booking their flight to Green Bay or Seattle. The Giants are sooooo hot. Beating a Tampa team with ONE threat on offense and Eli with his "turn the corner" performance against Tampa; a dominating 185 yard passing performance.
This is eerily similar to a Giant team that had won 6 straight...on a roll...coming off a bye week...lying in wait for a Cowboy team coming to NY. No way the Cowboys were going to win that one huh?
Do one ever stop to think....which phase of the game are the Giants ACTUALLY BETTER than the Cowboys? Don't give me BS, unrealistic hogwash.

Lets not kid ourselves that Eli had this great day against the Bucs. His two touchdown passes were for a total of 9 yards. Nothing more than two hand offs. He is not going to be inside the Cowboy 10 yard line that many times in the game and he is going to have to go down the field which equals 3 to 4 picks. Final score and you can book it will be Dallas 38 giants 13
