We're not sure why Cleveland fired Todd Grantham as its defensive coordinator, but the Cowboys believe he'll be a good defensive line coach. Terry Pluto of the Cleveland Plain Dealer sheds some light Grantham's firing. |

You got to be kidding me. Dallas needs a center more than any runningback out there. How many "over-the-head snaps will it take to realize this? They also need help at the D-line. We're set at wide receiver, corner, and saftey. CONCENTRATE ON THE CENTER POSITION!

Hey rams fan, Goose thinks your team needs a lot of help. Of course, everyone with at least some brains realize that. Then again, that explains why you don't. I saw at least 11 spelling mistakes in your post.What does this mean........you are an idiot.........scoreboard Cowboy Fans & Me.

I have to hand it to you.
the posters on this blog as a group are so damn stupid, once you post, they forget about the subject at hand and start responding to your post.
They allow you to take over every damn posting so I am sure you are having a good time with the idiots who would rather respond to you than talk about he cowboys.

No, I am still here, I just quit posting because 90 percent of the bloggers in here are idiots. Try as I may, they think drafting a big name runningback is the answer. The answer is Center, but screw 'em. I tried to tell them. I have forgotten more then they'll ever learn. Rams fan, more power to you and your assistant who mocks you. The man was not a great defensive coordinator but he was an excellent D-line coach for 6-years, all in the 3-4 defense, and that is what he is being hired for in Dallas, so his record as a DC is kinda moot because he will not have that responsibility in Dallas.
Kinda like a receiver who proves himself to be an excellent possession receiver but does not do well as a speed receiver. If you are looking for a possession receiver, then he is your man.
Well, Todd Grantham proved himself to be an excellent position coach on the defensive line but not so great as a defensive coordinartor. The cowvboys are looking for a defensive line coach which is his proven quality. Thats all that is imporant in this hire since the guy is not going to be directing he defense.

I'm more concerned with us rehiring our strength and conditioning coach. We have sucked in December for many years in a row now and the Giants were clearly in better condition than we were in the fourth quarter. We should have sent him to Miami and let him get Parcells in shape.

So the question becomes not whether he can be somewhat effective as a 3/4 D-line coach, but whether he can help get the D-line to the next level and the players and coaches will TRUST and BELIEVE in him. Seems like the guy has some problems has some character and interpersonal skills problems with relating to the players and being trustworthy.
And who needs that with such a young D-line....
