Give me the ball!!!

Apparently, Texas-ex Jermichael Finley has the Packers in hot pursuit.

"Green Bay's on me real hard," is the way he actually put it. Of course, the Packers might want to make sure they can allot him the proper number of touches before drafting him.

Finley just finished up describing why he left Texas. It all started with the Oklahoma game, a big one for him. His four catches and 149 yards affirmed what he thought all along, and led him down the path of no collegiate return.

"That game showed that I needed the ball more," Finley said. "Texas couldn't do it, so I'm coming to the next level. And hopefully at the next level I'll get the ball more. Hopefully I get an offensive coordinator that'll get me the ball, some kind of way. It was against a great defense, a top-five defense, and I showed what I could do."

The Oklahoma game was frustrating, yes, but "I didn't let it get me down. I just kept on grinding it out, kept on doing what I needed to do," Finley says, finishing up a true story of triumph.

I remember when that Japanese submarine slammed 2 torpedoes into our side Chief and our Captain yelled "all penishands on deck of the USS Indianapolis" and there were lots of them; many of them grouping together 'cause they were scared Chief; but we delivered the bomb...

I don't know anything about the above mentioned American footballer but my only question after reading this post is:

"is his Lithium at a current therapeutic level in his system?"...

The Boys slapped the franchise tag on Hamlin! Good move Jerry.

he must have left his desire to keep doing what he needed to do on the bus in College Station

The tag is on Hamlin which is a smart move, but Flo is hitting the market and I don't think he'll make it back to Dallas. Well, lets role either Pat or Doug on the field at LT and use our money to sign Marion and get Canty a deal done this year so we can tag T-New next year and re-up D.Ware.

Dear Jermichael Finley,

Just because you have one game doesn't mean you're a superstar. It possibly means you had a fluke of a good game. When you can prove that you can do it every game, then you're something.

God what an unjustified ego.

Dear Jamichael Finley,
You are a legend in your own mind. So was I back in the day and you see how long I lasted in the NFL.

Best Wishes,
JJ Stokes

I just read his Q & A on NFL.com. One of the questions was: What reality TV show would you like to be on and why? King of the Hill.

I think this pretty much says a ton for Mr. Finley and probably why he left college so soon. Good luck son and I hope you get to fulfill your dream of being on the hit reality show King of the Hill. What a moron.

Albert, PFT are reporting the Cowboys have used their Franchise tag on Ken Hamlin

I just think if you draft McFadden, it will be better for the cowboys and my entertainment in the future. He could very well be better than Ahman Green. I mean, Antonio Pittman isn't great. Ya know?

It is going to come as a shock to Finley that NFL TEs don't normally get the ball more than 4 times per game. And, oh, BTW Finley, the worst defense in the NFL is 100 times better than OU's. Good luck looking for those 4 catch, 149 yd games.

I found myself baffled when this jack*ss left early for the NFL. Now I am just glad.

I love the last line, Breer. Keep it up!

Posted by Matt @ 3:17 PM Thu, Feb 21, 2008

And didn't he think maybe he had all those yards on FOUR catches because OU didn't have any respect for his game and thus played soft on him. Good riddance!

2nd most receptions by a TE in a single season in University of Texas history.

4th all-time in receptions by a TE in University of Texas history while only playing two seasons.

Questionable attitude and blocking skills, yes.
But I would not have a problem betting he's the most athletic TE in the draft.

"Texas-ex Jermichael Finley has the Packers in hot pursuit." So.....would that pursuit be in the 4th or 5th round? With that refreshing "me first" attitude, I think young Jermichael (Did mom & dad forget the "k"?) could be "grinding it out" the first day of the draft and will have to "keep on doing what he needs to do" on Day 2 before he hears the Packers call his name.

As an afterthought, perhaps the Eagles could step in front of the Packer's pick in the 5th and take Jermichael. I'm sure Donovan would be thrilled to have someone step in T.O.'s shoes and take up where T.O.'s ego left off.
