More from D-Mac

A special thanks goes out to JJT for sticking up for the truth, and clearing up any confusion created by the hard-of-hearing Timmy Tabloid.

But his won't be the final word on Darren McFadden. We have more, much more from him today. And I know he's been a bit of a lightning rod on Cowboys Blog, so I'll provide you with some of that material here.

McFadden, of course, hasn't had the chance to interview with any teams yet, since the only opportunity to would've been at the Senior Bowl, which he wasn't eligible for (being a junior and all.) One of the interesting things D-Mac had to say actually came from just that -- his class standing -- when he was asked if there were any regrets he had in leaving Fayetteville a year early.

"The Heisman Trophy," McFadden said. "That’s the only thing. I felt like I did everything I could to win a Heisman. But the only thing I could do was play ball, let the voters take care of everything else."

He also addressed the off-field concerns that some teams are harboring in considering using a high draft pick on him. Those stem primarily from two separate early-morning barfights he was connected to while a collegian.

One ended with a broken toe, the other began in a piano bar.

"I made those mistakes, but I corrected those mistakes and I’ve learned from those mistakes," he said. "And that’s something that I’m going to keep from repeating. ... Being out, making stupid mistakes like that, those are kid’s mistakes. I feel like I’ve grown up a lot and learned not to put myself in those types of situations."

On the field, McFadden left little doubt about his ability, as a two-time Heisman Trophy finalist. And when asked to compare his style to that of an NFL back's, he chose another ex-New York invitee.

"The best one I could come up with is Adrian Peterson," McFadden said. "He’s a great running back. We have about the same size, and I feel like that’s someone I can compare myself to."

I wouldn't necessarily agree with that at all (I think he's far more like Reggie Bush). But give the kid this: He's got confidence and there was little question out at the Michael Johnson Performance Center who the big dog was there.

I think McFadden would look best in the Burgundy and Gold of the Mighty Redskins...no way the Danny and Vinny braintrust let him get to Jerry if McFadden does indeed slip...what a poke in Jerry's eye that would be...HA HA HA©...Hail to the Redskins©!!!...

p.s. the Tuna is like 40 million under the cap in Miami...wonder what groceries he's going to be bringing in this off-season?...

Reggie Bush? You can't be serious. They're nothing alike.

I think McFadden is built AND runs like Marcus Allen of the Raiders back in the 80s. If he were to duplicate that success, then, somebody is getting a good prospect.
